Burnout Paradise

Burnout Paradise is the 5th and most recent mainline entry in Criterion Games' Burnout video game series. It initially released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2008, followed by a PC version in 2009 (a series first). A port to 8th-generation consoles, Burnout Paradise Remastered, was released in 2018.

Paradise deviates from the closed-course events of its predecessors, instead taking place entirely in a single open-world location, Paradise City. There are no artificial barriers or waypoints, even during events. Collectibles are littered around the map, new event types are available that take advantage of the open world, and returning event types are reworked to fit.
